Pubescence(2011)

Pubescence is a 2011 Chinese teen comedy that follows Cheng Xiaoyu, a girl caught between her divorced parents and the judgment of her peers. Convinced that family, friendship, and love are illusions, she abandons any sense of responsibility and throws herself into a reckless lifestyle: skipping school, clubbing, smoking, drinking, and chasing money and status. Directed by Guan Xiaojie and starring Zhao Yihuan and Wang Yi, the film captures the raw defiance and self-destruction of adolescence with dark humor. It became a box-office success and launched a theatrical franchise, spawning three direct sequels that continued to explore the messy, unfiltered world of troubled youth.
