André George Previn, geboren als Andreas Ludwig Priwin, war ein deutsch-amerikanischer Pianist, Komponist und Dirigent. Sein Werk umspannt Jazz, klassische Musik und Filmmusik, an mehreren berühmten Opernhäusern war er Chefdirigent oder Musikdirektor. Im Laufe seiner Karriere wurde er unter anderem mit elf Grammy Awards und vier Oscars ausgezeichnet.
