Strange Paradise(1969)

Strange Paradise is a Canadian occult soap opera that aired for 195 episodes between 1969 and 1970. Launched in U.S. syndication on September 8, 1969, and on CBC Television from October that year through July 1970, the series capitalized on the success of Dark Shadows with its own supernatural storylines. Producer Steve Krantz developed the show with writer Ian Martin and veteran producer Jerry Layton, crafting three distinct 13-week story arcs across 39 weeks of broadcasting. Produced in Ottawa at CTV affiliate CJOH-TV and distributed by Metromedia and Kaiser Broadcasting, Strange Paradise brought gothic drama and otherworldly intrigue to daytime television audiences on both sides of the border.
