This Is Your Life(1952)

This Is Your Life is an American television documentary series that premiered on NBC in 1952. Host Ralph Edwards surprises unsuspecting guests and reconstructs their life stories on stage, bringing out unexpected appearances from colleagues, friends, and family members. The format creates emotional, often moving moments as subjects confront pivotal people and memories from their past. Edwards produced and hosted the original run through 1961, then revived the series in 1971-72. Joseph Campanella took over as host for a 1983 version, and Edwards returned for occasional specials in the late 1980s.
