Hitmaker(2014)

Hitmaker is a South Korean variety series where entertainers Jung Hyung Don and Defconn scout and assemble talented musicians into custom idol units. The first season brings together members from established K-pop groups—BtoB's Yook Sungjae, GOT7's Jackson, and VIXX's N and Hyuk—to create a fresh collaborative project. Season two introduces a new lineup featuring G.na, After School's Lizzy, 4minute's Kwon Sohyun, and Kara's Heo Youngji. The show blends music production with entertainment as the hosts guide their recruits through training, songwriting, and performance preparation. Hitmaker captures the behind-the-scenes chemistry and creative process of forming temporary supergroups from the K-pop industry's established talent pool.
