Chinese Almanac Master is a comedy series following Xiao Nanzhu, an unemployed young man who reluctantly inherits his family's ancient profession: a Huangli Shi, a mystical fortune teller who reads seasonal cycles and predicts daily fortunes. Inspired by his childhood friend, Xiao accepts the role despite his reservations—mostly because he'd rather call the police. His predictions prove eerily accurate but wildly inconvenient. When he warns of impending disasters, his forecasts spiral into absurd complications that test his newfound calling. The series blends traditional Chinese folklore with modern chaos, as Xiao navigates the gap between ancestral wisdom and contemporary life, discovering whether destiny can truly be predicted—or merely survived.
