Drug Addiction is a Chinese series that follows Song Ting, deputy director of the Kaihe Compulsory Detoxification Center in Yunnan Province. Driven by her people-first philosophy, she navigates the complex challenge of rehabilitating inmates while managing a high-stakes investigation. When two major suspects from an international drug trafficking ring are admitted to the facility, Song Ting must balance her idealistic approach to treatment with the demands of law enforcement. Working alongside investigator Leng Wenkun, she pursues a difficult transformation: turning the detention center into a genuine refuge for recovery. The series explores the tension between punishment and rehabilitation, following Song Ting's determination to prove that compassion and rigorous oversight can coexist in the fight against drug trafficking.
