MIU404(2020)

MIU404 is a Japanese police procedural series following the Mobile Investigative Unit of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, tasked with solving cases in 24 hours. Detective Kazumi Shima joins the unit as a brilliant but deeply distrustful investigator with sharp observation and communication skills. Unable to find a compatible partner within MIU, Shima is paired with Ai Ibuki, a physically capable police officer from a local substation who failed his own MIU application. While Ibuki lacks detective experience and knowledge, Shima must overcome his reluctance to trust and learn to work alongside him. The series explores how two mismatched officers with contrasting strengths and weaknesses navigate high-pressure investigations and build an unlikely partnership.
