Wish Me Luck(1988)

Wish Me Luck is a British wartime drama series following civilians recruited by a secret organisation called The Outfit to conduct undercover missions during World War II. Mathilde, a French refugee desperate to aid the war effort, joins alongside Liz, whose family has been devastated by the conflict, and former actor Colin Beale. Each recruit arrives through different circumstances—some seeking purpose, others driven by loss and grief. Vivien carries the weight of her husband's execution after his cover was blown. As these ordinary people undergo dangerous training and deployment, they must navigate espionage, moral compromise, and the constant threat of discovery.
