Fire Me...Please(2005)

Fire Me...Please is a hidden camera reality series that aired on CBS in summer 2005. Two contestants report to separate jobs and compete to get fired as close to 3:00 p.m. as possible, with the winner taking home $25,000. The show was adapted from the British format The Sack Race, though the American version swapped stand-up comedians for ordinary contestants and significantly increased the prize money. Fire Me...Please made television history as the first reality show to use a laugh track and the first to split episodes between repeat and new material. Though critics were lukewarm, the series performed well with viewers aged 18–49, frequently placing second against the drama House. The on-air title was Fire Me Please!, though CBS officially designated it Fire Me...Please.
