The Witness(2020)

The Witness is a Hong Kong crime drama following plain-clothes Sergeant Ko Lik-kei, who is assigned to protect Lee Ho-fan, a reluctant witness to a fatal shooting. Initially at odds, the two gradually form an unlikely partnership. When Ho-fan's apparel company becomes entangled in illicit dealings involving senior executives Yip Cheung-lok and his son, Lik-kei joins forces with Ho-fan and his sister Chung-ying, a sharp-tongued barrister, to uncover the truth. As Lik-kei and Chung-ying grow closer, tensions simmer between Ho-fan and Lik-kei's sister Ko Wing-yum. Together, the foursome stumbles upon clues that reopen a cold case dormant for over two decades, forcing them to confront dangerous secrets that powerful people want buried.
