First Department(2020)

First Department is a Russian crime series following investigator Yuri Bragin as he returns to St. Petersburg after a year-long assignment. When his boss announces retirement, Bragin is positioned as the likely successor to lead the First Investigation Department—a promotion he doesn't want. Preferring active fieldwork to desk duty, he's dispatched to a small Leningrad region town where two girls have been murdered within a week. In a tight-knit community where everyone knows each other, Bragin must navigate local connections and suspicions to find the killer.
