Ittekimasu!(2021)

Ittekimasu! is a Japanese drama series following Mari, a struggling actress-turned-reporter who returns to her hometown of Hida Furukawa after nearly a decade away. Assigned to document the festival floats of the famous Furukawa Festival—cancelled that autumn due to the pandemic—Mari sees an opportunity to finally land a real acting role. Her father Seiji, the local sake brewery's chief brewer and head of the float preservation committee, holds the key to her ambitions. As Mari navigates her hometown's traditions and her father's expectations, she must convince him to cooperate with her project while confronting why she really left and what success actually means. The series balances small-town charm with personal reckoning, exploring family bonds and second chances against the backdrop of a community facing unprecedented change.
