Twitch City is a surreal sitcom set in Toronto's Kensington Market, following Curtis, a television addict who rarely leaves his apartment, alongside his roommates Nathan and Hope. When Nathan is imprisoned for killing a homeless man with a can of cat food, Curtis and Hope must find a replacement roommate to cover rent. The series blends dark humour with absurdist storytelling, capturing the lives of underemployed twentysomethings navigating friendship, poverty, and pop culture obsession in late-1990s Canada. Quirky, irreverent, and deeply rooted in its Toronto setting, Twitch City became a cult favourite for its willingness to embrace the strange and mundane in equal measure.
