Matsuo Suzuki to 30-pun no Joyuu(2021)

Matsuo Suzuki to 30-pun no Joyuu is a Japanese comedy drama series created to celebrate WOWOW's 30th anniversary. Written, directed by, and starring Matsuo Suzuki—artistic director of Bunkamura Theatre Cocoon and founder of theatre company Otona Keikaku—each self-contained 30-minute episode pairs Suzuki with a different actress in intimate comedic scenarios. The four featured performers are Yo Yoshida, Mikako Tabe, Kumiko Aso, and Haru Kuroki. Drawing on Suzuki's reputation as a master of theatrical comedy, the series explores moments of humour and human connection through minimalist staging and sharp dialogue.
