More Tears(1998)

More Tears is a seriocomedy series that aired on CBC Television. Written and produced by Ken Finkleman following the success of The Newsroom, it draws inspiration from Federico Fellini's 8½. The show follows George Findlay, a documentary producer who manipulates his subjects to manufacture compelling television drama. As the series progresses, Findlay abandons the documentary format entirely to create a satirical film skewering Ontario Premier Mike Harris and his neo-conservative government. Beyond the workplace chaos, More Tears examines Findlay's fractured personal life—his troubled marriage and affairs—blending sharp comedy with genuine emotional weight. The ensemble cast includes Hrant Alianak, Yank Azman, Arsinée Khanjian, Leah Pinsent, Evan Solomon, and Kenny Vadas. Finkleman would later develop the series Foolish Heart for the CBC.
