The Return of Jezebel James(2008)

The Return of Jezebel James is a sitcom starring Parker Posey as a successful children's book editor who turns to her estranged younger sister to be a surrogate mother when she cannot have children of her own. Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, the Gilmore Girls writer-producer, the series premiered on Fox in March 2008 as a mid-season replacement. Despite Sherman-Palladino's involvement—she directed the pilot and executive produced alongside her husband Daniel Palladino—the show struggled to find an audience. Fox cancelled it after just three episodes aired, citing low ratings. The four remaining episodes later appeared on iTunes, offering viewers a glimpse of the full story the network never allowed to unfold on television.
