Cash and Company(1975)

Cash and Company is an Australian period adventure series set during the Victorian gold rush of the 1850s. The show follows bushrangers Sam Cash and Joe Brady as they evade corrupt authorities, particularly the relentless Lieutenant Keogh, while aided by a resourceful widow named Jessica Johnson. Filmed in colour across rural Victoria, the original 13 one-hour episodes premiered on the Seven Network in May 1975. The series found international success, screening at the Cannes Film Festival and airing in the United Kingdom before its Australian debut, eventually selling to Sweden, Holland, Yugoslavia, Ireland, Norway, Rhodesia and Nigeria. Produced by Homestead Films, Cash and Company blends action and adventure with the rugged landscape of Australia's gold rush era, capturing the tension between fugitives and law enforcement against a backdrop of frontier life.
