London Bridge(1996)

London Bridge is a British television drama that aired on ITV from 1996 to 1999, broadcast only in the London region. The series centred on SE1, a restaurant, and the flats in the neighbouring block, following the interconnected lives of its residents. Starting as a late-night drama with 26 episodes in 1996, London Bridge expanded into a twice-weekly soap opera format later that year. The cast featured actors who went on to prominence in shows like Bad Girls and No Angels. Though regionally limited, the series occasionally outperformed rival Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. London Bridge was cancelled in 1999 when ITV regions jointly developed Crossroads and Night and Day to fill scheduling gaps created by Channel 5's acquisition of Home and Away.
