Motormouth(1988)

Motormouth is a British children's television series that aired on ITV from 1988 to 1992, produced by Television South. The show ran for four series across Saturday mornings, following the cancellation of its predecessor No. 73. Rather than continue with the expensive exterior sets of the revamped 7T3, producers opted for a studio-based magazine format that proved more practical and cost-effective. The first series featured a distinctive giant motorised mouth as the centrepiece of the set, giving the show its name. From the second series onwards, the set design shifted to incorporate cog and sprocket-themed graphics and elements, with the iconic mouth gradually phased out. Many production staff carried over from the earlier show, maintaining continuity while establishing Motormouth's own identity as a straightforward, studio-bound entertainment programme for young viewers.
