East of Everything(2008)

East of Everything is an Australian drama series that premiered on ABC in March 2008. A globe-trotting travel writer returns to his hometown of Broken Bay, a neglected coastal resort town on Australia's easternmost point, for his mother's funeral. There he confronts a web of complications: a corrupt local council, his scheming brother who wants to steal his inheritance, his first love from teenage years, and a son he hasn't seen in a decade. The series explores how the protagonist navigates family conflict, unfinished business, and the pull of his past against his wandering present. Two seasons were produced by Deborah Cox, Fiona Eagger, and Roger Monk.
