Canal Road(2008)

Canal Road is an Australian television drama series that aired on the Nine Network in 2008. Produced by Susan Bower with writers Sarah Smith, John Ridley and Dave Warner, the 13-part series was filmed at Channel Nine's Melbourne studios and around the city. The show debuted on 16 April 2008 to mixed critical reception and modest ratings. After the seventh episode attracted only 360,000 viewers, Nine pulled the series from its schedule, though the remaining episodes were later broadcast online and during August and December 2008. Despite the A$10 million production budget and strong creative team behind it, Canal Road struggled to find an audience during its initial run. The series was released on DVD in Australia on 4 August 2008.
