A River Somewhere

A River Somewhere is an Australian documentary series that aired on ABC TV in 1997 and 1998. Hosted by Tom Gleisner and Rob Sitch, the show follows the pair as they travel across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond in search of fly-fishing adventures and authentic local cuisine. Each episode captures their mission to catch dinner and have it prepared in traditional regional styles, blending outdoor pursuits with cultural exploration. Produced by Working Dog Productions and scored by composer Liam Bradley, the series offers a relaxed, immersive look at fishing destinations worldwide and the communities that inhabit them. The show was later released on DVD in 2005.
