North Square(2000)

North Square is a British legal drama series that aired on Channel 4 in 2000, following the lives and cases of barristers working at a prestigious Leeds chambers. Created by Peter Moffat and featuring an ensemble cast including Phil Davis, Rupert Penry-Jones, Helen McCrory and Kevin McKidd, the show captures the professional pressures and personal conflicts within the legal profession. Filmed on location around Park Square in Leeds, where the city's legal firms cluster, North Square earned critical praise for its sharp writing and compelling performances. Despite strong reviews, the series attracted only a modest audience and ran for just one ten-episode season. The show found greater success in Australia, where it aired on ABC in 2001 and was repeated in 2004 to popular acclaim. The complete series was released on DVD by Acorn Media UK in 2012.
