Shiro Jishi Kamen(1973)

Shiro Jishi Kamen is a Japanese period series set during the Kyoho Period (1716–1735) in Edo-era Tokyo. When the city falls under siege by the masked villain Okami Kamen and his yokai army, Town Magistrate Echisen Ooka dispatches his best shadow policeman, Hyoma Tsurugi, to investigate. Tsurugi discovers the true mastermind: the demon Kaen Daimaoh. Mortally wounded in their clash, Tsurugi is saved by a mysterious apparition—Shiro Jishi Kamen, the White Lion Mask. Now bound to this supernatural protector, Tsurugi must transform into its human vessel and fight to defend justice against overwhelming supernatural evil.
