8:15 from Manchester was a Saturday morning children's magazine show that aired on BBC1 during Going Live!'s summer break. Broadcast from Manchester and presented by Ross King and Charlotte Hindle, the series debuted on 21 April 1990. The second series, which began in April 1991, added BBC Radio 1 weathergirl Dianne Oxberry to the lineup. The format mirrored Going Live!, blending cartoons with games, music performances, and interviews. A standout segment was The Wetter The Better, a swimming pool game show hosted by King. The show also featured a weekly drama where two filmed endings were presented, allowing viewers to phone in and vote for their preferred conclusion. Reruns of Rentaghost and later episodes of Grandad rounded out the schedule. Inspiral Carpets recorded the theme tune, a rewrite of their single "Find Out Why".
