Moon Machines(2008)

Moon Machines is a six-part documentary series that breaks down the engineering innovations behind the Apollo Program's historic moon landings. Each episode focuses on a critical piece of hardware: the Saturn V rocket, Command Module, Lunar Module, space suits, onboard computer systems, and Lunar Rover. The series examines the technical obstacles NASA engineers solved to achieve human spaceflight to the lunar surface. Created by the filmmakers behind In the Shadow of the Moon in partnership with NASA, Moon Machines premiered on the Science Channel in June 2008 as part of the agency's fiftieth-anniversary celebrations. The documentary combines archival footage, interviews, and detailed engineering analysis to reveal how these machines made the impossible possible.
