The Julia Child Challenge is a cooking competition series where home cooks and devoted fans of the legendary chef compete across two rounds to win a prestigious prize. In the first round, contestants recreate one of Julia's iconic dishes with guidance from archival footage of Julia herself displayed on a giant screen. The second round asks competitors to draw inspiration from Julia's philosophy to create an original dish that reflects their own culinary style. Dishes are served family-style, allowing contestants and judges to sample each creation while sharing personal stories about their connection to Julia and their food journeys. Host Antonia Lofaso and rotating guest judges evaluate the competitors, with the winner earning a three-month all-expenses-paid cooking course at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris—a prize that literally follows in Julia's footsteps.
