Los cuentos de Tinga Tinga is a 52-episode children's series that brings African folk tales to life for ages 4–6. Commissioned by BBC CBeebies and Disney Junior, the show draws its name and visual style from Tanzanian Tingatinga art. Produced in Kenya by a dedicated studio, each episode unfolds traditional stories with vibrant animation and a soundtrack by Kenyan musician Eric Wainaina. The series was developed by animator Claudia Lloyd, who drew inspiration from her travels across Africa. It premiered on the BBC website in February 2010 and has since reached audiences worldwide through Entertainment Rights distribution.
