Super Doll★Licca-chan is a 1998–1999 anime series that spins off from the beloved Takara doll franchise. The story centers on Licca Kayama, an ordinary elementary school girl who discovers mysterious truths about her own origins and those of Doll Licca, her enigmatic protector. As Licca uncovers these secrets, she's drawn into strange circumstances that blur the line between her everyday life and something far more extraordinary. The series was designed to expand the Licca-chan doll line into action figures, though the new toys proved only moderately successful. A manga adaptation also ran in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine, bringing the character's world to readers alongside the anime.
