With My Own Eyes is a Ukrainian documentary series following a family scattered across five cities—Kyiv, Mariupol, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, and Donetsk—when Russia's invasion begins on February 24, 2022. Parents, three daughters, and a son suddenly find themselves trapped in bunkers and shelters, separated by conflict and unable to reunite. Phone and video calls become their lifeline, the only way to confirm each other's survival and share what they're witnessing in real time. The series documents how ordinary people endure extraordinary circumstances, capturing intimate moments of fear, resilience, and love across a fractured nation. It's a raw, firsthand account of war's impact on families forced apart by geography and circumstance.
