From the Lips to the Heart is a Turkish television series starring Burak Hakki and Asli Tandogan. Based on Reşat Nuri Güntekin's celebrated 1923 novel of the same name, the adaptation explores the timeless tension between ethics, loyalty, love, and ambition. Güntekin was among Turkey's most influential literary figures, and his work carries the emotional depth and romantic complexity reminiscent of Tolstoy's novels. The series ran for two seasons, capturing the pathos of the source material while bringing its intertwined characters and moral dilemmas to the screen. The show has found audiences across Europe, including in Serbia where it airs as Plač violine.
