The Red Apple(2023)

The Red Apple is a Japanese anime series set in a near-future where sexual activity is illegal. Inuda Hikaru, an honor student whose father works for the government's Sexual Misconduct Control Bureau, shares his father's disdain for sex and dreams of following in his footsteps. His sharp-tongued childhood friend Minase Yu idolizes a famous actress known as Uchura, who publicly maintains an image of purity. When Hikaru is lured to an underground members-only club, he witnesses illegal sexual activity and is shocked to discover Uchura there with a man. Caught between his ideals and this hidden world, Hikaru becomes entangled with an organized network operating in the shadows of this repressive society.
