The Salt of Life(2011)

The Salt of Life is a drama following Mr. Wahib, a man exiled to French Guiana after killing a French soldier during a protest against occupation. Years later, he escapes and encounters Leopold, a Belgian diplomat en route to his new post as ambassador in Syria. As the two men journey toward Damascus, an unlikely friendship develops between them, forged through shared hardship and mutual understanding. The series explores themes of displacement, redemption, and human connection across cultural divides, set against the backdrop of early twentieth-century colonial politics and Middle Eastern intrigue.
