Helena(1975)

Helena is a Brazilian drama series that follows the upheaval caused when a wealthy man's will reveals an illegitimate daughter unknown to his family. Estácio and his aunt Úrsula inherit the estate, but most of the fortune goes to Helena, a stranger they've never met. Úrsula, who has controlled the family business and raised Estácio since his mother's death, refuses to accept Helena as anything but an intruder. Even Estácio's fiancée's father opposes her presence. Yet Estácio honors his father's dying wish and brings Helena into the household. Her warm, spirited nature gradually transforms the family dynamics, eventually softening even Úrsula's resistance. As Helena settles into her new life, she becomes a catalyst for change, forcing each family member to confront their own prejudices and assumptions about belonging and inheritance.
