Welcome to Milele(2023)

Welcome to Milele is a Chinese drama series that follows Ma Jia, a doctor from Jiang University's First Affiliated Hospital, as he joins the 25th batch of the China Medical Team bound for Sanah, Africa. Thrust into an unfamiliar landscape with stark cultural differences, Ma Jia must decide whether to persevere or abandon his mission. Stationed in Milele Village, he and his colleagues face grueling physical and emotional challenges while delivering medical aid over two years. As Ma Jia confronts language barriers, resource scarcity, and homesickness, his perspective shifts. Through moments of triumph and heartbreak—friendships forged and goodbyes endured—he discovers the true meaning of humanitarian work. The series explores how ordinary people find purpose and resilience in extraordinary circumstances, capturing both the hardship and profound human connection that define medical mission work in Africa.
