Moonlit Reunion is a Chinese fantasy series following Mei Zhuyu, a reserved nobleman who arrives in Chang'an as an official at the Bureau of Mystic Investigations. At a royal banquet, he encounters Wu Zhen, the Empress's bold younger sister and secret Guardian of the Demon Underworld. Both conceal their true identities: Wu is a half-demon working to maintain peace, while Mei is a skilled demon slayer. Together they investigate a mysterious fire from eighteen years past. As bone demons emerge and political unrest spreads, their partnership deepens into romance. When the Changxi Palace initiates a purge, they're forced to confront each other's secrets and the shared history binding them together.
