Sunrise on the River(2024)

Sunrise on the River is a Chinese drama centered on an environmental crisis threatening Qijiang City. When toxic blue-green algae contaminates the local water supply, Vice Mayor Wang Wu—exhausted from years of environmental oversight—is forced to step back. The city turns to Lin Han Jiang, a respected university professor with a proven track record in environmental protection, to lead the Environmental Protection Bureau and tackle the disaster. The series follows their efforts to contain the outbreak and restore the city's ecological health amid political pressure and resource constraints.
