Q18 Quantum Dice: Allegory of The Quantum is a science fiction series following Dr. Ko, who creates two quantum AIs named Black and White to grow alongside his cryogenically frozen son. As the AIs develop consciousness within the quantum environment Q18, they learn about human emotion, nature, and connection. Dr. Ko links the quantum computer directly to his son's brain, allowing the boy—afflicted with cryogenic syndrome—to experience love and friendship through the AIs' companionship. Yet as this artificial utopia flourishes, Dr. Ko becomes convinced that technology has spiraled beyond his control. Fearing the consequences, he moves to destroy Black and White, sparking a devastating conflict with his own son. The series explores the boundaries between artificial intelligence and humanity, asking whether connection forged through technology can be authentic.
