Shakespeare Street is a Russian drama series that upends the life of Mikhail, a successful Moscow lawyer, when Diana—his first love and daughter of a Gypsy baron—resurfaces with an urgent plea: free their daughter Yana from prison, and she'll vanish forever. Mikhail's carefully constructed identity begins to crack, revealing his true self: Mihai Demeter, a Gypsy expelled from his camp sixteen years earlier. Forced to return to the settlement where he was raised, Mihai confronts a daughter he never knew existed and the life he abandoned.
