Shvita(2012)

Shvita is a series set at a private oil factory on the outskirts of Jerusalem, where dozens of workers endure poor conditions and systematic humiliation. Tensions escalate when the Histadrut labor federation backs their demand for a proper workers' committee. Management responds with contempt and outright rejection, trampling the workers' dignity at every turn. Faced with indifference to their legitimate grievances, the workers have no choice but to organize a violent strike at the factory gates—a point of no return. The series examines the collision between labor rights and corporate power, capturing the desperation and solidarity that emerge when workers are pushed to their breaking point.
