Pieces of Autumn(1973)

Pieces of Autumn is a Japanese drama series that follows Minoru Niijima, a timid university student whose life unravels after a terrible mistake. Pressured by a friend, Minoru commits a sexual assault on a train, only to target a girl connected to a delinquent gang. He's brutally beaten as punishment, but the shock deepens when he discovers the gang's newest member is his own younger sister, Yoko. The series explores the fractured Niijima family—his exhausted father nearing retirement, his well-meaning mother, his boisterous older brother who sells beds, and Yoko herself, caught between childhood and a dangerous world. As secrets and shame threaten to destroy them all, the family must confront the consequences of Minoru's actions and their own complicity in his downfall.
