Freddie and Max(1990)

Freddie and Max is a British comedy series following Maxine Chandler, a fading Hollywood star holed up in a London hotel suite, and Freddie Latham, her sharp-tongued cockney personal assistant. When Max hires the outspoken young woman to manage her affairs, Freddie wastes no time pointing out her employer's glaring flaws—a job Max's timid agent, Malcolm Parkes, has long wanted to do himself but never dared. Caught between a vain star clinging to her faded glory and an assistant who refuses to coddle her, the pair navigate the clash of old Hollywood glamour and working-class candor.
