Yellow Horse(1980)

Yellow Horse is a Brazilian series centered on the clash between tradition and rebellion within the Maldonado family, who own the building housing Dulcinéa's struggling revue theater, Mambembe. Patriarch Salvador Maldonado rules his household with an iron fist, enforcing conservative values across his four adult children. Joana fiercely defends her father's worldview, while Téo submits quietly to his authority. Walter, the favored son, remains under his father's thumb. Lalucha, the youngest, is a film student determined to challenge the family's rigid conservatism. As Dulcinéa fights to keep her theater alive, the Maldonados' internal tensions escalate, pitting the old guard against those hungry for change. The series explores how family loyalty, generational conflict, and competing visions of the future collide within one household.
