Tahrir(2025)

Tahrir is a tense drama set during the 1986 storming of the Israeli embassy in Cairo. As thousands of angry protesters breach the compound, five embassy staff members find themselves trapped inside with a collapsing steel door as their only barrier. With no rescue force able to reach them, the besieged Israelis confront what may be their final hours. Tensions escalate among the group, particularly between security agent Tal Shemtov and his childhood friend Roy Barzani, the chief of security, while Barzani's neglected girlfriend Hagar finds herself caught in the middle with secrets of her own. As political and personal interests collide, the promise of solidarity fractures under pressure, and the fragile relationship between Egypt and Israel teeters toward outright conflict.
