New Century Legend Mars is a science fiction series following an amnesiac man discovered on a volcanic island named Heisei. Mars is actually an extraterrestrial sent to Earth to gather intelligence and determine whether the planet should be destroyed. Bonded to the giant robot Gaia, Mars experiences fragmented visions of a mysterious woman urging him to spare humanity. Torn between his alien origins and newfound compassion, Mars chooses to defend Earth against his own kind. The stakes are catastrophic: if Mars dies, Gaia will detonate and obliterate the world he's sworn to protect.
