One Day in July

One Day in July is a series that follows A Qi, a minor comic book character who discovers she's destined to die. Desperate to change her fate, she partners with No. 13, another background player in the same fictional world, to rewrite their stories. Their rebellion against predetermined destiny destabilizes the narrative itself, awakening dormant characters and sparking a pursuit by the comic's forces to eliminate them as glitches in the system. The show blends science fiction with dark comedy as these overlooked characters fight to claim agency over their own lives, unraveling the rules that bind them.
