Roses Are for the Rich is a 1987 television miniseries about a woman seeking revenge in Appalachia. After her young husband dies in a suspicious mine explosion, Autumn vows to destroy the mine owner responsible for his death. When financial schemes fail, she manipulates him into marriage by claiming to carry his child. Years later, the mine owner dies from cyanide poisoning, and Autumn becomes the prime suspect. She insists on her innocence even as evidence mounts against her.
