Newhart(1982)

Newhart is a sitcom following Dick Loudon, a how-to book author who abandons New York City with his wife Joanna to run a small inn in Vermont. Dick becomes the host of a local TV show called "Vermont Today," while the inn fills with eccentric staff and guests. George Utley serves as the handyman, Leslie Vanderkellen works as maid before being replaced by her wealthy cousin Stephanie, and Dick's yuppie TV producer boyfriend Michael Harris rounds out the core cast. The show thrives on the colorful residents of the fictional Vermont town, particularly the three brothers—Larry, Darryl, and Darryl—who purchase the local Minuteman Cafe. The silent Darryls, who share nothing but a name, become running gags in this ensemble comedy about small-town life and fish-out-of-water charm.
