The Big Easy is a television series set in New Orleans, Louisiana, following police lieutenant and detective Remy McSwain as he navigates corruption and crime in the city's underbelly. Premiered on USA Network in August 1996, the show stars Tony Crane as McSwain, Susan Walters as state district attorney Anne Osbourne, and Barry Corbin as police chief C.D. LeBlanc. The series was inspired by the 1987 film of the same name and shot on location throughout New Orleans. Executive producer Daniel Petrie Jr. oversaw the show's two-season run, which produced 35 episodes. The drama balances procedural crime-solving with the complex relationships between law enforcement and the legal system in the atmospheric Southern setting.
